“A new heart for a New Year, always!” — Charles Dickens

Hang the twinkle lights, pop the champagne, and throw on something fancy, because 2016 is finally over and it’s time to celebrate. Now isn’t the time for negativity and doubt — it’s the time for hope and change,

The prospect of a new year always brings about the chance for a new beginning, and 2017 is no exception. You can never give up hope, especially when a fresh start is right around the corner.

Whatever change you seek, little steps can mean big results. Here are six tips to help make this the happiest, healthiest new year yet:

1. Stay Positive. You can listen to the cynics and doubters and believe that success is impossible or you can trust that with faith and an optimistic attitude all things are possible.

2. Take a morning walk of gratitude. It will create a fertile mind ready for success.

3. You create your world from the inside-out. Remember that outside circumstances and events have no power over you.

4. Talk to yourself instead of listening to your complaints, fears and doubts. Feed your mind with words of truth and encouragement you need to keep moving forward.

5. Live your purpose. Remember why you do what you do. We don’t get burned out because of what we do. We get burned out because we forget why we do it.

6. Challenges are opportunities. Trust that everything happens for a reason and expect good things to come out of challenging experiences.

I would like to wish you and your loved ones a glorious, rewarding and productive new year. Look to the new year as a chance for renewal and make some ambitious plans. Lastly, don’t forget to smile and laugh more, best natural anti-depressants.

With gratitude,

Nora Paxton
